By car:

Take the highway A1 Zagreb-Karlovac-Bosiljevo-Zadar-Split-Dubrovnik and then road E65 -Dubrovnik-Cavtat.

By train:

Those coming from Zagreb by train to Split (visit the International Timetable link at www.hznet.hr) need to continue to Dubrovnik by bus (visit www.autobusni-kolodvor.com for detailed schedule).
