Dear colleagues,
After being forced to postpone the 12th Meeting of the Society for Natural Immunity & NK2010 due to the unpredictable situation with the air traffic in Europe, the Organizing Committee met today in Cavtat (Dubrovnik) with the Management of the Croatia Hotel to discuss the terms and conditions of the rescheduled meeting in September 2010. We are glad to inform you that we managed to secure the new dates for our meeting and these are: 11 – 15 September 2010, with the following basic schedule:
11 September – Registration, Opening ceremony (starting at 15.30), Keynote lecture, Session 1, Welcome reception
12 – 14 September – scientific and poster sessions, Farewell Banquet
15 September – departure
We are aware of the fact that the second half of August and September are traditionally “fully booked” in regards to international scientific meetings, which may potentially overlap with NK2010. Even though we tried to avoid overlap maximally, taking into account the numerous e-mails received from the participants, we are aware of the fact that some participants will have difficulties to comply with the new dates.
An important piece of information is that registration fees will remain the same and you will not have to register again for the September meeting. However, if you will not be able to attend the September meeting, please notify us before 1st May 2010 and you will of course be refunded. Detailed information regarding refunds (e.g. method of refund, the percentage of the fee that would be refunded) will be sent to you soon.
As to the accommodation, please note that the new dates of the Meeting are still in high tourist season. However, the Croatia Hotel management generously offered us the same special meeting rates for accommodation in the Croatia Hotel for the September meeting, which were previously determined taking into account the off-season rates. In a couple of days we will provide you with the instructions about the booking procedure and deadlines for the booking. You do not need to cancel the accommodation reservation in the Croatia and Supetar Hotels booked for the April meeting since the Croatia Hotel automatically cancelled these.
We sincerely hope that your schedule will allow you to attend the September meeting and that you will be able to switch the dates of your flight tickets with your agencies.
